In-Class Sessions (12 Hours):
- Bee Biology, Behavior, and Anatomy: Understand the intricacies of bee life, behavior, and the anatomy critical to their survival.
- Pollination and Ecological Balance: Explore the vital role bees play in pollination and maintaining ecological balance.
- Equipment and Tools: Gain familiarity with the equipment and tools essential for successful beekeeping.
- City Bylaws and Regulations: Navigate through city bylaws and regulations governing responsible beekeeping practices. Including provincial bee registration.
- Disease and Pest Management: Learn to identify common bee diseases and pests, along with effective management strategies.
- Feeding and Winterizing: Understand the nutritional needs of bees, and acquire skills in winterizing hives for seasonal challenges.

Courses will be held at the Worker and Hive Education Hub Unit 102 4215 72 Ave SE Calgary. All courses are non-refundable.Â
