Prepare your colonies for winter with the Slip Over Double Winter Wrap, a premium beehive winter insulation cover designed to protect two 10-frame colonies placed side-by-side, each with two brood boxes or equivalent. This fitted winter wrap provides an additional layer of insulation to help protect honey bee colonies during cold Canadian winters. The kit includes a top insulation pillow and a hooded cover designed to fit over both hives.

How to Use:

1. Position the Hives – Place two prepared, two-storey hives side-by-side on a pallet, with the inner lids in place.

2. Fit the Winter Wrap – Place the side wrap and attached top cover over both hives.

3. Align the Entrances – Position the silver grommets over the upper hive entrances.

4. Secure the Cover – Use the supplied screws and washers to fasten the cover to the hive frames directly below the central grommets, holding the entrance openings in position.

5. Add the Insulation Pillow – Place the supplied insulation pillow on top of the hive lids.

6. Fasten the Top Cover – Close the top cover and secure it using the supplied rubber rope and hooks. At the rear, cross the rope diagonally from one top corner to the opposite bottom corner. At the front, angle the rope from the outer grommets towards the center, and fasten the two middle grommets straight down. This creates a tented area over the entrances to allow bee access.
