HiveIQ Winter Insulation Block

Increase your HiveIQ winter system with this insulation block! This block fits snuggly into a medium HiveIQ box (sold separately ) and adds a customizable amount of bee space above your frames allowing the beekeeper to add pollen patties (Spring and Fall) or Fondant for the winter. 

The body of this block is made with 4" of inert closed cell expanded polystyrene (E.P.S.), which does not contain CFC’s or HCFC’s, is non-toxic, hypo-allergenic and will never rot or support mold and mildew.  The bottom (facing the bees) is lined with reflective foil insulation to add "chew" resistance and additional R Value. 

Adds approximately R17 to the top side of the hive.
